Philips Respironics System One Remstar 60 Series is FAA Approved CPAP Machine
- Approved by the FAA for use on all commercial flights within the US and all international flights that depart or arrive in the US.
- Each PR System One Series CPAP/BiPAP Machine includes an FAA Approved label on the base of the machine for easy identification.
- Always contact your airline prior to your flight to confirm any requirements they may have — such as a copy of your prescription and/or a letter of medical necessity — for allowing your CPAP/BiPAP on board.

The Philips Respironics System One RemMstar Auto CPAP with heated humidifier and heated tubing is available for purchase together or as an option. Respironics adds a Heated Tube to their Humidity System to create ultimate comfort and reduce “rainout” otherwise known as the annoying water in your mask. The level of relative humidity delivered to the mask is adjusted by analyzing the ambient room temperature and machine airflow. The slim 15mm Heated Tube maintains the desired temperature evenly from the machine all the way through to the mask. You can use the on-screen menu to easily select one of three levels of relative humidity (70, 80 or 90 percent).
Next, adjust the control dial to choose from 5 levels of heated tube temperature, ranging from 4 to 16 degrees above room temperature. The optimum humidification level at the mask is easy to maintain when using the PR System One REMStar 60 Series Auto CPAP with humidification assembly. System One 60 Series Humidifier has a redesigned humidifier resulting in an increase in surface area and greater humidification output. Respironics has reformatted to work with the Heated Tube which easily snaps on and off the humidifier port.
New Modern Design in the 60 series
The PR System One REMStar 60 Series Auto CPAP and Heated Humidifier displays an updated look with a rich charcoal color and metallic silver as accents on the control and side panels. The control dial has been redesigned to make it easier to understand.
Flex Family Technology
Flex technology is groundbreaking in CPAP compliance. People new to CPAP therapy find adapting to treatment much easier when the airflow pressure is reduced during exhalation. The 60 Series Auto CPAP offers C-Flex, C-Flex Plus and A-Flex modes. You can choose what mode to used based on your therapy. This machine can be set at auto mode or fixed pressure CPAP Mode.
This machine comes with the A-flex technology. The A-Flex comfort feature is built on top of the REMstar Auto algorithm which provides the lowest pressure needed to keep the airway open during sleep. A-Flex adjusts to deliver pressure as needed to eliminate breathing events without raising it too high.
System One Resistance Control
In order to deliver optimal pressure Respironics developed a numbering system to note the resistance characteristics of each mask. Using the Resistance Control number, the machine compensates for the mask being used to provide a consistent and reliable pressure. Each mask is made with what is called an intentional leak. The Resistance control understand’s these leaks and adjusts accordingly always delivering optimal pressure for your therapy.
On Screen Data Display
Sleep data is available on the display screen of the System One 60 Series Auto CPAP machine. See the Apnea/Hypopnea Index, leak rate as well as the 7 and 30 day average pressure readings. Data is stored in both an on-board memory and a generic SD memory card. This technology can be very useful if your doctor needs to see if a new pressure is working quickly. It can also be beneficial if you feel like your experiencing heavy mask leaks or a change in therapy.
Important Compatibility Note of the PR System One 60 Series
The components of the PR System One REMStar 60 Series Auto CPAP with Heated Humidifier and Heated Tube can only be used together as a system. The Heated Tube CANNOT BE used with any other PR System One machines and humidifiers. The external power supply used by this system IS NOT compatible with other units in the Philips Respironics line of products.
The REMStar 60 Series Auto CPAP is not compatible with earlier versions of the PR System One Heated Humidifier.
Further the Heated Humidifier and Heated Tube that comes with the PR System One REMStar 60 Series Auto CPAP with Heated Humidifier and Heated Tube is not compatible with the PR System One REMstar Auto CPAP Machine with A-Flex or any other machines in the PR System One product line. The machine and humidifier in the PR System One REMStar 60 Series Auto CPAP with Heated Humidifier and Heated Tube assembly cannot physically be attached to earlier versions in the Philips Respironics line of products.
